Tuakana-teina is an integral part of Maori society. It's an amazing model of how buddy systems are beneficial as the tuakana/expert helps guide the teina/younger or less experienced person. This concept creates a rich learning environment for both parties as both are able to learn from each other. Here are a few pictures of us with our buddy class doing some reading together :) Thank you room 5 for being patient with us and helping us learn!
